Students from Fo Guang University's Department of Vegetarian Cuisine shined in the 4th "Search" Chinese Heritage and Innovation Chinese Cuisine Cooking Challenge in Shanghai, winning 2 silvers and 1 bronze, demonstrating the excellent level of Taiwanese vegetarian cuisine. Among them, Lin Guangqi won the silver medal with the highest score, once again proving the professional training strength of Foshan University’s Vegetarian Department.

  What is surprising is that Lin Guangqi, who won the silver medal for vegetarian dishes and the bronze medal for Chinese cold dishes, is not from a traditional catering school, but from the general department of Taishan High School. He worked hard at the Vegetarian Department of Fo Guang University, improving his cooking skills. He finally stepped onto the international competition stage, competing with the best players from all over the world, and stood out, writing a legend!
In addition, freshman Wang Qixiang also performed brilliantly, winning a silver medal in the vegetarian cooking project. Originally from Malaysia, he went to Taiwan to study with a passion for creative vegetarian cuisine. He has won numerous medals in many competitions, demonstrating his amazing talent.

  The competition was hosted by the World Chef Certification Agency and was highly competitive, with many contestants being professional chefs and catering operators from mainland China. However, the judges unanimously agreed that Guangqi’s freshly prepared vegetarian dishes were delicious, leaving people wanting more after tasting them, fully demonstrating the high level of innovation and sophistication of Taiwanese vegetarian cuisine.
  It is worth mentioning that Guangqi challenged the meat-eating contestants with vegetarian cold dishes in the competition and finally won the bronze medal, showing the diverse possibilities of vegetarian cuisine, which was impressive. Unfortunately, in the cooking competition, he was deducted 2 points for wearing sneakers, which resulted in him missing out on the gold medal and only winning the silver medal. However, he still won the top spot in the competition with the highest score!
